Hi,
Wollte mal fagen wo sich die ganzen Protokolle(IP,TCP,ARP,ICMP...), die ja in Form von Software sind befinden? Sind Sie, z.b. bei Windows, als Windows Komponente im Betriebsystem?
Hat man sich diese Schichte des IP-Modells "Virtuell" vorzustellen oder gibts die wirklich?

Ich tippe mal darauf, dass man TCP/IP wegen der Performance
im Betriebsystemkernel unterbringt.

Die Schichten gibt es in sofern auch real, als dass die Socket-Schnittstellen (für UDP und TCP bzw. Raw Sockets für IP) realisiert sind. SIeht man sich den Quellcode z.B. von BSD Unix für diese Protokolle an, so sieht man, dass gerade bei dem Zugriff auf Shared Memory Segmente eine starke Durchdringung der Protokolle stattfindet.
